Modern Bathroom Design

A bathroom can be a utility room or a private spa. This one is the second. Domora designed it around two stones, a soft grey limestone-look surface for calm and a dramatic veined marble for contrast, then added concealed lighting and a few precise details to make it feel finished.

Two Stones, One Clear Idea

Large-format stone-effect panels in warm grey cover most of the walls and floor, which keeps joints to a minimum and gives the room a continuous, quiet backdrop. The marble is saved for the two places that matter: the vanity top and the shower feature wall. Its white ground and dark, branching veins stand out against the softer grey, so the eye goes straight to them. Using a bold material sparingly is what keeps a compact bathroom from feeling heavy.

A Bathroom That Feels Like a Daily Retreat

This project shows how a small number of well-chosen materials, with light handled carefully, can turn an ordinary bathroom into a calm, high-end space. For homeowners across Dubai and the UAE planning a bathroom renovation or new build, it reflects Domora's ability to combine refined design with practical, long-lasting detailing.

A Floating Vanity That Keeps the Floor Open

The wall-hung vanity sits beneath a thick marble slab with a slim rectangular basin on top. Below it, an open shelf holds rolled towels within easy reach, and two soft-close drawers hide everything else. Lifting the unit off the floor lets the polished tile run underneath it, which makes the room feel larger and simpler to clean.

Mirror and Light Working Together

A full-height mirror runs beside the vanity, edged with a warm LED strip that glows along the stone. Backlit panels on the central wall add the same amber tone, so the lighting comes from the walls and not from the ceiling alone. Recessed spotlights provide task light, while the concealed strips give a softer evening setting. This layered approach is what gives the room a spa-like warmth instead of a bright, clinical feel.

A Towel Wall That Doubles as a Detail

Three matte black rails are stacked on the central wall, giving the room a graphic accent against the soft stone. Dark metal against pale surfaces adds definition, and the same black finish appears in the fixtures, so the details feel intentional. Two small floral arrangements on the ledge below add a soft, fresh touch.

A Shower Designed to Be Seen

The walk-in shower is enclosed in frameless glass so the marble feature wall remains visible from the rest of the room. Inside, a rain shower head and a hand shower share one slim chrome-finish column, and a small mosaic floor gives grip underfoot. Recessed shelves with warm lighting are cut into the marble, so bottles and products are neatly displayed. Because the niches are built into the wall, there is no need for hanging baskets or racks.

Wall-Hung Toilet and Smart Seat

The wall-mounted toilet with an integrated smart seat keeps the floor line clean and the profile slim. Concealing the cistern in the wall leaves more usable space and makes the room easier to maintain, a practical choice for family bathrooms.

Natural Light, Handled Carefully

A window with horizontal blinds brings daylight into the shower zone while keeping privacy under control. The pale surfaces carry the light across the room, and the polished floor reflects it back, so the bathroom feels bright without extra fixtures.

Detail Coordination Behind a Clean Result

A bathroom this simple on the surface depends on careful planning behind the walls. Domora's team coordinated tile layouts, marble cutting, waterproofing, concealed plumbing, lighting, and glass fabrication so the veining, joints, and fixtures line up cleanly. As with every Domora project, design, engineering, and execution were managed as one connected process.
