Walk-In Dressing Room Design with Glass Wardrobes

A dressing room can be a storage space or a place you enjoy using every day. This one is designed as the second: an L-shaped walk-in with glass-fronted wardrobes, lit shelving, and a full-length mirror, all in a soft, light palette.

An L-Shaped Layout That Uses Every Wall

The room wraps wardrobes around two walls, with the corner turned into usable storage instead of dead space. Hanging rails, folded-clothes shelves, shoe displays, and drawers are all arranged on both sides, so the person using the room can see everything on first entering. The centre stays open for dressing and moving around, which makes the room feel larger than its footprint.

Glass Doors in Slim White Frames

Every wardrobe door is clear glass in a slim white frame. Clothes, shoes, and bags are on display but protected from dust, and the white frames keep the look light and architectural. Because nothing is hidden behind solid panels, finding an outfit is quick and the room feels like a boutique.

Lighting Built Into Every Shelf

Thin LED strips run along the top of each compartment and under the shelves, lighting the contents from inside. The warm glow makes fabrics look richer and removes the need for extra lamps. Overhead, black linear tracks add a clean, modern line and provide bright, even light for choosing clothes.

A Mirror and a Place to Pause

A tall full-length mirror with a bronze frame and a slim LED edge stands by the entrance. Beside it, a deep green velvet pouf with a brass band offers a seat for putting on shoes. The green is the only strong colour in the room, so it stands out against the white and oak without breaking the calm.

Fluted Detail Above the Cabinets

A band of vertical fluting runs along the top of the wardrobes, filling the space between the cabinets and the ceiling. It adds texture at a point where plain panels can look flat, and it echoes the fluted details used elsewhere in the home.

Herringbone Oak Underfoot

The herringbone oak floor gives the room warmth and a crafted feel. It contrasts with the white cabinetry and links the dressing room to the bedroom beyond, so the two spaces read as one suite.

Storage Planned by Type

The design separates storage by use:
● Long hanging sections for coats and dresses
● Double rails for jackets and shirts
● Open shelves for folded knitwear
● Lower shoe shelves with space for heels, flats, and trainers
● Soft-close drawers with slim recessed pulls for smaller items
● Upper shelves with storage boxes for seasonal items and bags
Everything has a defined place, which helps the room stay tidy.

Planning the Details

A dressing room only works when the measurements are right. The design planned the hanging heights, shelf depths, drawer sizes, lighting positions, and corner turns together, so the glass doors close cleanly and the lighting is even throughout. As with every Domora project, design, engineering, and execution are treated as one connected process.

A Dressing Room That Makes Mornings Easier

This project shows how a walk-in dressing room can be organised, bright, and attractive at once. For homeowners across Dubai and the UAE planning a dressing room or walk-in wardrobe, it reflects Domora's ability to combine storage with refined, practical design.
